This wins for the longest time I've ever taken to complete a project. I started this during the final week of September, but drew my first sketches way back at the end of August. I'm SO glad to finally be done!
Ahh... Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Who here DOESN'T want this game?
*notices no hands* Yeah, that's what I thought...
I first thought of this back in August... What if my characters were to dress up as some of the new guys to Smash? Slowly, I started sketching, but a lot of my early attempts just weren't doing me justice, so I put it on hiatus until around the end of September when I thought how nice this'd make as a Hallowe'en pic.
And...ya. I wanted to get it done by the 31st. I'm fairly early, but the important thing is that it's done! Man...
So, for those unfamiliar, from left to right are the following:
Ty the Cyndaquil as Pit from Kid Icarus
B-Man the Meowth as Ike from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Mitzi the Skitty as Zero Suit Samus from Metroid: Zero Mission.
Every one of those characters that we are cosplaying as is a newcomer. And they are, currently without question, some of my favourite newcomers (especially Ike).
Anyhow, moving right along, I can definitely see a whole lot of improvement from previous images. I still have quite a ways to go, but I think I can finally say that I'm above mediocrity, albeit by a small margin.
The sketching is fine, the colouring is sweet looking, and the lighting is exceptional.
Heck, I even have a half-decent background (which is supposed to be an homage to the official site).
Now, before anyone complains, I am aware that some features on the characters are missing (no boots, bow in wrong hand, etc).... They were removed/adjusted for ease of drawing. I tried to include as much as I could.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it, my biggest project to date.
Now THAT is a real winner! It sure shows that you worked long and hard on this one, and you did great! This has to be probably your best when it comes to the focus on character details. Seeing Pokémon in cosplay is really fun! Arbok_X Approved!
Nicely done, B-Man! I agree with Arbok when he says that this is not only one of the best works you've done so far, but also one that you seemed to have put a lot of time and thought into. Another great thing about this is that it seems you're not making things to complicated on yourself. You're aware of what you've done and didn't do, and is just trying to work your way to where you want to go. Oh, did I mention that this is also pretty creative? No? Well, it is.
wow nice job! Too bad there wasn't a brawl art contest, I was looking forward to it.(I'll do one though, I had an idea for it and I want it down on paper.) Anyway, you can really tell the extra work put into this one, I like the blue to white in the background. Nice job putting that in there. Great job!
I couldn't agree more with what the others said about this. Definitely your best ever. Why? Because it shows, that's why. Take one look at those astounding details and give me one reason why I shouldn't this, which I was going to either way. Also, the shading. Dude...holy crap. That is insane. Something I'm not so used to seeing in your artwork, yet it's there. This is top-tier quality bud...I'm telling ya. You are one of the most original artists I have ever come to know, and I'm proud of that. Excellence and brilliance combined. Rock and rule dude!

Whoo-ho-wow! That's quite a lot for just one piece of artwork...
I guess it just proves that hard work truly does pay off. This was easily my biggest work and I'm proud of the outcome. Thanks a lot for the encouraging words.

B-Man's the name; Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is my game!
No, it isn't. In fact, I could go on more if you'd like. xD Seriously...I probably could.
Anyway, absolutely no trouble at all. For those who are willing to put forward the sacrifice, the success is automatically warranted. In the end though, it was all my pleasure.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
