Good news and bad news...I'll start with the bad.

Yes, the PokéMiis are the choice of character design here... Ugh. I'd rather have it on DS with recycled GBA sprites over that! But there's nothing I can do about that, really... I mean, it is only $12 so I guess I can't complain...

Now the good stuff.

Firstly, starters... What you can get depends on what version you pick up (something that really should have been done right from the get go). They are as follows...

Blazing Adventure Squad: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Vulpix, Growlithe, Eevee, Teddiursa, & Buneary
Stormy Adventure Squad: Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Wooper, Azurill, Phanpy, Riolu, & Wynaut
Light Adventure Squad: Pichu, Pikachu, Shinx, Pachirisu, Elekid, Mareep, Psyduck, Togepi & Meowth

Well, I know what version I'm getting...though the list of starters sure is an odd choice (really, Pikachu and Pichu? Why?) Not sure how partners are working whether you have to stick with the ones in your version or if there are many more...

Disappointing for fans of the Grass-Types as well as Munchlax and Skitty. This really is a weird list...but I digress.

However...as far as I can see, there is no personality test this time. Just pick the one you want and go with it!

When it comes to saving, there'll be multiple save files (it's as though the PokéGods have listened to our cries! Now how about putting them in the main games? *shot*) and you can carry the save files across all three versions to recruit different Pokémon and whatnot.

...OK, maybe I'll be spending a bit more...

Pokémon Tower Dungeon has all your team members climb on top of one another and use attacks simultaneously. That actually sounds pretty cool.

Wild Pokémon actually evolve in dungeons!

If you don't like playing with the Wii Remote, that's OK. You can hook it up to the DS and control that way.

Lastly, it'll utilize WiiConnect24 to download missions over the 'net.

Not bad, really... I'm doing well holding off my excitement for the time being (really, why the ugly models? Is it cheaper?) but at least I can have Meowth as the main again (really, what the heck, Sky?).
